“Metsovisio” chèvre cheese
“Metsovisio” is a goat cheese, produced in the mountain town of Metsovo by the Tositsa foundation. Its color is white as goat’s milk is whiter than cow’s milk. It is produced in the spring, when the goats feed on the first tender leaves of the oaks. During the formation of the cheese mass, black pepper grains are added, followed by wet salting. It has an excellent taste and it pairs ideally with premium red wines.
